On thursday, Grace and I attended the choir concert. The ticket was $10 each, but we bought it anyways so that we could see Amanda perform. The songs where the choir sang as a whole was nice. But as for the solo and group performances, there were ups and downs. The last few songs were nice. I actually got the goosebumps when I heard them sing. It was my first time hearing the choir perform. The choir from Ngee Ann Primary also came to perform and ohmygosh they were so adorable! The girls looked so cute in their blue dress and the boys too in their mini-tuxedo.
Today's band session was fun. We didn't practice at all. I was feeling totally worn out for the day. Guess that sleeping at 2am and waking up at 6am isn't sufficient rest for me. Stayed up to help Sandy with the powerpoint presentation. Started working at about 11.30pm? I still wasn't done with it at 2am, so I had to wake up early and edit more.
Spent the first two hours decorating the band room. We blew up balloons! And then tied them up in bundles of three. Took some pictures of them, but didn't manage to take any when we were done hanging them on the ceiling. Some of them kept dropping. I was one of the few who had to help hang them back up. Needed 3 chairs to reach the ceiling, and even then I had to tiptoe. We used pink ribbon to spell out something like 'WE *instert heart* SENIORS!'. It was simple and nice.
Then... I went down with others and followed Sandy to the staff room to get a laptop. Returned to the canteen to help people fill up the water balloons. There were so small and cute. Used the water from the water cooler, thus it was nicely cold, hehez. I didn't manage to tie any up until the last minute, where I tied 2! Yea I'm horrible at tying balloons.
Went back up to the band room with the laptop. We watched the powerpoint while walking up to check for any mistakes. It went alright. Settled down and most of the sec 4/5s were already there. Presented the powerpoint and it went quite smoothly with only one or 2 mistakes, which was alright for something done at the last minute. Then every sec4/5 went up to make an individul speech. Oh no... I hope this doesn't happen when my batch graduates. Was probably the only one who sat on the floor due to the lack of chairs.
Mr Yu and Mr Yeo called me over before I got a chance to leave for the canteen. We have a new score! Guess I have to perform my duties as a librarian now. Chong Jin already briefed me with what to do and stuff, so I hope I don't make any mistakes.
Went down and it people were already playing with the water bombs. Didn't even get a chance to throw one even though I helped fill them. Oh well, I don't have anyone in mind to throw at anyways. Stayed at the table and served the people drinks since most were clustered in their sections and well... I don't really have a section. My junior was with his friends and James is just missing. It was quite a busy task. The drinks were empited in no time. People also ate the cake and once again, I didn't even get a chance to touch it. Walked around aimlessly while munching on some snacks. Then we had to clear up. Used the tissues to clean the water and mess off the table. It was so wet. The others used some mop-like thingy to clear the rubbish off the floor. It took quite long, and most people had left. Stayed behind to help out. My bag was upstairs too.
Went up after finishing. Gosh it took quite long. And then we saw the mess in the band room too. Party poppers seem much more evil now with how much of a mess they make. Used the dustpan to sweep the floor as I had no broom but wanted to help... Yeah it actually worked quite well. People were popping the balloons. So we had to clear that too. Then XQ and I decided to leave since everyting was done, I think.
